The regional train and the surrounding landscape from Gmunden to Bad Aussee serve as a stage for this audiovisual docu-fiction created by Petra Ardai. Passengers can hear a conversation between the Train, the Mountain, and the Traunsee Mermaid, interwoven with stories of the local population.

This living heritage experience can be accessed through QR Code and the App provided by the Kulturhauptstadt.

Ella Raidel
is a filmmaker and visual artist from Austria. She experiments with alternative audio-visual formats and materials, exploring innovative paths in storytelling. Her hybrid practice aims to create a discursive space for filmmaking, art, and research. She is an Assistant Professor at NTU Nanyang Technological University Singapore. Marlene Rutzendorfer
is an architect from Austria. She is the curator of, among other festivals, the Architektur.Film.Sommer at MuseumsQuartier Vienna. She has been developing formats of architectural mediation and interactive urban research, participatory design, and construction of exhibition architectures with the platform for Architecture Wonderland. She was a visiting scholar at Harvard University's Department of History of Art and Architecture and lectures at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. wonderland.cx

Petra Ardai
is a theatre maker, scenario writer and artistic director of the Amsterdam and Budapest-based arts initiative SPACE. Petra has extensive experience in documentary theatre and immersive storytelling in different and hybrid media such as interactive performances, public space installations and interventions, living heritage mobile applications and social impact games. Petra believes that art, especially theatre, can play an important role in changing the world by de-colonising narratives through the experience of (re)connection with the other: with other people, other life forms and the planet. spaceexplorers.nl
